Some Background

I am Italian, and, according to trust-me-bro science, also Georgian.

I started programming in Scratch in elementary school (bruh, I hated those blocks). At 12, I wrote my first lines of real code in C++ and Pascal. I bet most of you don't even know Pascal and neither do I. Today I am a serial user of Claude Code/Codex and I can't even modify a variable name without them. This is what I call "human progress". Maybe.

I decided to study AI in late 2019, years before finishing high school and back when being a data scientist was the sexiest job in the world. I enrolled in the second-ever cohort of the BSc in Mathematical and Computing Sciences for AI (BAI) at Bocconi in 2021 and graduated in 2024. I learned a lot of math and computer science, but also plenty of physics, neuroscience, and economics, all applied to AI.

Then I got tired of Milan and moved to Paris for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Visual Computing at École Polytechnique, with a lot of "AI things" applied to vision, such as computer graphics, animation, AR and VR, robotics — you name it.

Axes of Interest

Axis 01

Vision Modality

How models see, and what they see with.

Axis 02

Model Interpretability

Not just whether it works, but what happens inside.

My work experience comprises research in industry. The application that excites me most is still to be determined by my life experiences. I am not close-minded at all, and I want to get into as many fields as possible where those two axes can be explored, so I can learn as much as possible. If these things interest you (or even anything else), feel free to reach out from my contacts page.

Some Extras

I played football for more than a decade (forza Inter); I was an actor (I might have won an Oscar, actually); and I like editing videos, playing the ukulele, and seeking discomfort (Yes Theory). A bunch of other stuff too, but I can't say too much cause I DON'T WANT BIG BROTHER TO STEAL MY DATA, GNE GNE. No, actually, I just don't have anything else on my mind right now. That's it.
